The Côte de Beaune Line leaves Dijon and heads south through the hills and forests of the Côte d'Or, avoiding the fast valley roads in favour of quiet backroads between the vineyards. Stone wine villages, ridge views over the Saône plain and flowing curves define the ride, ending in Beaune, the wine capital of Burgundy. Compact but rich, this Line is the northern half of the old Dijon–Lyon corridor and opens the road further south.
